PHIUS certified

Passive House

A PHIUS certified house in the New England hills — the airtightness argument, built and third-party verified.

SIP eave in section on a PHIUS certified house — panel edge, sealed joint and LVL header against winter sky

PHIUS certification sets the highest airtightness standard in North American residential construction. A SIP envelope reaches it as a matter of course, because the panel face is continuous and the only air paths are the joints — which are sealed as part of erection, not as a separate trade afterwards.

Walls and roof were panelized and erected through the winter, each panel cut to the drawing and marked for its position before it left the shop.
